Pharrell confirms July 4th release date for Japanese Cartoon's Album

At the N*E*R*D concert in Manchester last week Pharrell said that Lupe will be delivering Japanese Cartoon on July 4th! Yes, you can get excited now! Oh, and Lu was there, too.

Trae Tha Truth will host his third annual “Trae Day” anti-violence rally this July along with numerous rap stars and celebrities.

This year’s “Trae Day” takes place at the former International Ballroom in Houston and includes an all-star lineup featuring Lupe Fiasco, Young Buck, Yo Gotti, Wacka Flocka, Sean Garrett and others.

Eminem mentions Lupe Fiasco in an interview w/ The New York Times

In order to promote his upcoming album, Recovery, Eminem did an interview with The New York Times. Besides a lot of things they asked him if he thinks that Rap has peaked creatively...here's his answer:

"No. Hip-Hop right now — there are certain artists who put hip-hop in a good state. There are a lot of talented people, and there’s a lot of young talent coming up, like B.o.B, Jay Electronica, Lupe Fiasco and Drake."

Pharrell Williams and Lupe Fiasco wrote a track for the Despicable Me Soundtrack

The tracklist of the Official Despicable Me Soundtrack just dropped and it says that there's a track on there that was co-written by Lupe and produced by The Neptunes.

Lupe doesn't perform the track though, it's being performed by the film’s mischievous Minions and it's called Minion Mambo. The Soundtrack will be released on July 6th.
