The SNDCLSH, the collaborative music duo of DJ Lupe Fiasco and DJ Sky Gellatly, have dropped their first official track, the collaborative remix of “Letting Go” with the DJ and producer wonder DJ Kue. The song is a glimpse into the SNDCLSH debut EP, “Don’t Drop The Flag”, an all electronic music album.
And in keeping with the philanthropic spirit of Lupe and Sky, they have pledged to donate ALL of the proceeds from their upcoming EP to kids in need. Yes, every single dollar. Be on the lookout for more SNDCLSH tracks in the coming weeks, and for an early 2012 album drop from the SNDCLSH.

John W. Ennis wrote a piece on "The Show Goes On" and why it's his anthem of 2011.
Weaving an interpolation of Modest Mouse's 2004 upbeat hit "Float On," Lupe Fiasco uses his verses to unify the impoverished and privileged alike, urging courage to resist everyday oppressors, drawing strength from both childhood dreams and the power that a rarefied performer gets to observe when audiences are chanting his lyrics back to him around the world.
And yet in his open-ended challenge that "Ain't nobody leavin, nobody going home, even if they turn the lights on, the show is going on," there seems to be the prescient call for in-person assembly and energy that so many apparently desired deep down, across America, and around the world.
When future generations look back at us and our time, I hope they can associate this song with this tumultuous, inspiring era.

Robert Glasper sat down with Revivalist for a track-by-track break-down of his upcoming album "Black Radio." Here's what he said about "Always Shine" which features Lupe and Bilal.
“Lupe randomly called me one day. After he heard my music on some in flight programming, he found out that I played with Q-Tip and asked him for my number.
From then, we had been texting back and forth for about a year. He was one of the artists that sat in at my Blue Note jam session. It was Wednesday. I was in Los Angeles at King’s house writing a song. I told him to come through and he did. I gave him a CD of the song so he could write his verses to it.
When he came to the studio to record it, it was a whole other song. He had to rewrite his verses, but it only took him like 30 minutes. Bilal was there too, so I asked him to sing the hook. At the end, there’s an interlude with us at the kitchen table playing forks and knives with Derrick on bass. Then my son Riley comes in singing a little of the next song.”
