YN makes some valid points on who should win the Grammy for Best Rap album. Obviously our fingers are crossed for Lupe though.

This is his biased opinion. Lu's got my vote. He doesn't get enough credit which is a shame. The actual truth is almost always overlooked.

ReplyDeleteLupe's was best in terms of songs. Put em up showed clever wit. FFF showed rap skills. Around my way showed street hop and hood knowledge Bitch Bad and Lamborghini Angels were great Impact Tracks and Unforgivable youth was the thought proviking track. No other album had something for everyone like Lu's.

Out of those options I would go with the Roots. They're album is head, and shoulder better then those albums. From the lyricism, the execution of it's concept, and cohesiveness is better then the rest. If they weren't going to win then I think Nas deserves one, and then Lupe would be my third option out of those nominees.
