Audio: Lupe vs. Foolish - Heated Terrorism Debate x Reveals another Song

Things got a little heated again when Lupe sat down with the “Coco, Foolish and Mr Chase in the Morning” show in Detroit. Discussing politics and terrorism.

In the clip below Lupe announces another song title off FNL2:
There is a song on the album called Roses which is like the first record, one of the first records, it's like the intro record on the album

Video: Lupe Fiasco Q&A at Memphis Music Foundation

Lupe was at the Memphis Music Foundation for a Q&A session yesterday. He spoke about growing up in the ghetto of Chicago, the influence  MLK Jr. had on him, the function of ghetto areas as being a "trap," negativity in rap, an artists' lack of power without an audience, the duality of the genre, why he named his album Food & Liquor, Food & Liquor 2 and answered audience questions.

Audio: Lupe Fiasco says the President kills little Kids

Lupe did another interview with Power 99 in Philly, this time with Mina SayWhat. He talked about Food & Liquor 2, Nas, wanting a Damian Marley feature, Hip Hop and the President (@ 9:06).

On one hand you have someone who is a great speaker, but kills little children, our president.

He's a great leader though, he's a great speaker, he has a good heart, he inspires people to do better for themselves, he truly cares (or so he says) he truly cares for the people of this country, he's truly a citizen of this world but he also kills little kids... ...and just to level it out, every president was like that.

Lupe Fiasco talks music on the Radio w/ Examiner

A whole lot of interviews went down while Lupe was at Ultra Lounge in DC. Here's another one. Lupe talked about music on the radio and what he thinks of it plus more.

FiveMikes - Absolutely. I work with young boys every day...One thing we always come back to talking about is...Hip Hop. We talk about what's on the radio, and we talk about what they're listening to. When we're talking about music; when we talk about 'Who's your top 5?" Lupe never comes up. I'm always the one saying...You need to listen to Lupe, Talib, Mos...Why is that...

Lupe - Everybody has their opinion on what's "real," and what's they choose to listen to and their personal preference. Whether they're 2 years old or 200 years old. And people can listen to whatever they want. I never want to be an artistic bully, and put myself above anyone else...or be more prestigious than anyone else.

You like what you like, and you have to take that as you want it. If you want to listen to that stuff every day in and day out and think it has no affect on you. If you like perpetuating violence...if you like perpetuating negativity, so be it, I'm not knocking you.

Lupe Fiasco says that we will see a "He Say, She Say Pt. II"

Lupe was interviewed by ArtisticManifesto while in DC and made the following statement:

How would you compare Food and Liquor to Food and Liquor II?

Lupe: Food and Liquor II is in stores September 25th by the way. I hesitate to compare the two, other than just the names. Know what I’m saying? There’s definitely a similar feel, in the way that they’re structured, but musically they’re very different. They don't have too much in common. Some of the concepts are similar, but only in that they’re progressive social commentary, as opposed to being another album of the same character. You will see a "He Say, She Say Pt. II."

Video: Lupe Fiasco mourns slain friends + previews "Lamborghini Angels" lyrics on MTV's RapFix Live!

Lupe was just on RapFix Live with Nature and Sway, and did one of the best interviews he has ever done. He thanked Nature for being one of the MC's that taught him how to rap, and also for providing the "Fiasco" part to his rap alias via a song off The Firm album.

He also reveals that the creative process of some songs may be halted in order for him to read a book and become more knowledgable on the particular subject. He says that process was applied to his next single "Lamborghini Angels", then spits some of the lyrics off the track:

With her eyes to the ceiling and a needle in her brain, She looks back into the crowd, wipes the blood and then explains, How she slipped from this existence to the realm of the deranged, Her becoming must be halted to reverse what she became, From the looseness of her tongue to the pollution of her aims, To do nothing is barbaric, the solution is humane, You must destory the mind and hopefully retrain, Torture out the wildness and replace it with the tame, Blank slate, when she recovers she won't even know her name, Perfect wife and perfect lover, no resistance, no complaints, May God bless the scientific cure for the insane, Knew that she shouldn't go to school, but she thought that that should change..

It sounds like another chapter of the MYH Saga to me, haha! The process was also applied to a song called "Atomic Misphilosophy" off Food & Liquor 2 Part 2. Also, Sway played a montage of a few members from All City Chess Club expressing desire to work on a full project, to which Lupe replied "Let's do it!". He said a mixtape would be a simpler process than an album as far as the legalities go, so lets hope it comes to fruition.

Also, he compared the status of CRS to someone going into a coma on the operating table. It's not a gurantee that it will wake up again, but it's definitely not off the table. Most importantly, watch above as Sway plays a six year old clip of himself and Lupe touring Chicago for an episode of MTV's: My Block. When the video was over, Lupe was in tears because some of the people in the clip have already passed away. He goes on to say that watching the video made him feel helpless because even six years later, nothing has changed about his neighborhood and he knows that some of the kids won't make it out of there.

Personally, this interview struck a huge chord and I can admit that I also shed a few tears. For people outside of the U.S, HERE is an alternate link to that portion of the interview. All that, and a whole lot of other things were discussed so if you have the chance to watch this interview, I highly suggest you do. Hit the jump to watch the rest of the clips!

Lupe Fiasco to shoot new video this Week!

Joseph Labisi took to Twitter last night and revealed that he'll be working on a new video with Lupe this week. He didn't mention for which song, but we guess it's for Bitch Bad. Joseph Labisi also worked on the Out Of My Head video.

UPDATE: We can now confirm that the video will be for "Bitch Bad" and it'll be shot in Miami, starting this Friday.

Lupe ranked 49th on The Source's "Top 50 Lyricists of All Time" List

The Source has put together a list of the Top 50 Hip Hop Lyricists of All Time. Lupe is listed on position 49. I pretty much voiced my opinion about this on Twitter, so I'll just let you read what The Source wrote about Lupe and if you want to see the full list; go HERE for all scans.

In an age when denouncing violence and encouraging positive development in Rap seems to be a career killer, Lupe has defied the odds and emerged onto the scene with a more upbeat and positive meaning in his lyrics.

To some Lupe's lyrical repertoire may seem like a contradiction to his true message but he manages to draw in a wider audience with it and open up the eyes of the Hip Hop community. Using his emotion as a tool, Lupe is not afraid to voice his opinion.

New Music: S-Preme - Nothing Less

S-Preme is back after being absent for a year and a half. He pulls no punches on "Nothing Less," feeling untouchable after a round of touring with the likes of Lupe and B.o.B. Though it's been more than a year since his last release, he reminds us all that "me falling off is like Chris Paul to the Lakers."

Go To Sleep to be on Food & Liquor 2

Lupe went to Twitter last night to confirm that the previously released "Go To Sleep" will indeed end up on Food & Liquor 2. Here's what he said:
