I love Lupe Fiasco to death. His music brings calmness to me. I just can't ignore the fact that he did say Lasers would drop Fall, then Winter, then January. Same thing with Army Girl coming out "4th Quarter". I remember actually questioning everyone in a comment on a later entry on this blog asking do you guys ACTUALLY think Army Girl would drop "4th Quarter" and the album in Winter. He went in to correct/answer to confirm, "YES, Army Girl will drop 4th quarter and Lasers will be out Winter". Similar story with "Shining Down", it had to get leaked. GOD only knows when we would have seen that track if it didn't leak. It sucks when he does that because people really anticipate his music, then when it's grind time-there's nothing to show for it but a push back or...NOTHING. So how am I supposed to feel when early 2010 comes? 2009 didn't work, "4th Quarter" didn't work. Yea I get angry, and I highly doubt Lupe would understand our end of the situation. People need his music as well as society.

It its NOT illegal to sell mixtapes... it is ILLEGAL to sell mixtapes with instrumentals that ARENT cleared.. meaning if the person who owns the license of the original beat lets u, then you are ALLOWED to do whatever... hence why Big Sean was allowed to sell his mixtape after Kanye pretty much allowed him to use Say You Will...
Also if a mixtape is completely original and you own the license to the beats, then again you are allowed to sell the tape... and as for being a jackass by paying for a tape, alot of times artists sell these tapes @ shows because people SUPPORT them.. if you support an artist, then paying like $5 for a mixtape shouldnt be much...

But seriously, Lupe needs to get back on the ball. Enemy of the State wasn't even CLOSE to the greatness of Fahrenheit 1/15 Parts 1,2 and 3. It wasn't even close to being the mixtape of 2009 either. I was disappointing with it to say the least.
Really Lupe needs to train? I thought he had 4 black belts. Kilimanjaro is a easy climb, it's more of hike. If you take the easy trail (which they are), its very easy and has a huge success rate. And training is no reason not to drop the mix-tape. Dissapointed

Lupe murdered wayne. No Ceilings was a joke compared to Enemy of the State. What is hilarious is the fact that some people are saying Lupe half assed the mixtape. If you can do better, please show us!!! I stopped listening to No Ceilings about a month after it came out. Enemy of the State is on repeat, even after 2 1/2 months. And there is no way in hell that Lupe is commercial. Lupe, congrats on the climb. The only album I'm looking forward to this year is Lasers.
