are you freaking serious? hahaha how are ppl gonna buy it in the stores?
ReplyDelete^^ lol itll be easily recognizable.
ReplyDeleteAll I hope is that it truly stays all black everything. A random Parental Advisory warning on the bottom corner would remove the epicness hahaha
IDK I was hoping for more in the tune of FnL style.. Not Friend of The People pt.2
ReplyDeleteI really love the concept if an all black cover, it has meaning and funny A'F! Good going Lu
ReplyDeletei love lupe and im gonna preorder my copy but i think thats stupid. seems lazy idk. i also think it should have just been called the great american rap album. food & liquor seems like it was just randomly added. idk just my opinion either way im excited. FNF UP!
ReplyDeletewhy doesnt it say JESUS on it????
ReplyDeleteI have a black towel. I now call it the FNL2 towel.
ReplyDeleteNow all my black tshirts are FnL2 themed.
ReplyDeleteA lot of thought went into this
ReplyDeleteI know this cover has a deeper meaning. So it's pretty dope in a wierd kind of way. Maybe lupe will explain it in an interview.
ReplyDeleteMaybe part 2 would have an all white cover. That would be interesting
ReplyDeleteIt is because Lupe said if everyone was blind for at least a month it would change the world dramatically
ReplyDeleteAlso If everyone is blind but thinks they can see that is some Allegory of the Cave stuff which goes with the songs he is singing.People's History Definitely had an effect on him and the album
ReplyDeleteLOL i was waiting for the pic to load until i read the comments
ReplyDeleteI love this... Fuck the haters :)
ReplyDeleteIt should be hot pink..so that I could see it from far
ReplyDeleteClassic rebellious Lu cover. Genius.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry...I'm not trying to sound like a Lupe tryhard fan...but this cover is anything but genius. I think sometimes we as fans need to be real and stop dick riding for once and think...do we really like this all black cover? All of his singles have had the simple black and white theme, with "Around my way" having the barcode, "Bitch Bad" with the simple symbol, and "Lamborgini Angels" with the halo.
ReplyDeleteThose in my opinion where simple yet effective covers. I thought the album cover would carry the same theme. But no we get and all black cover and we wanna priase it?
Sorry. This isn't a rant but I'm just keeping it real. Love lupe and will always support him but come on guys...I been looking forward to seeing what the cover was gonna be like and it's a letdown. I know it's about the music and all but after great album art like his debut and "The Cool", I was just expecting more. Hopefully he'll pull a fast one on us and update this "genius" cover.
Complaining about anything on this album isn't gonna affect anything, especially cover art. Lupe has said he has "no expectations", basically meaning: fuck you all, I like what I've done. If you don't, too bad. It doesn't matter what you think of this cover art, it's what it is. Just roll with it.
ReplyDeleteThe Beatles did this over four decades ago.
ReplyDeletePrince did it too. HOW ARE WE SUPPOSE TO TELL THE DIFFERENCE.
ReplyDeleteAnnon, you completely missed my point. Damn. Excuse me for loving visual imagery. It just doesn't flow with the theme I thought was he was going with.
ReplyDeleteI'm not saying I'm gonna hate the album now because of the cover. Lupe is a grown ass man. Whatever he wants, he does. I got that. I can't change a damn thing, nor do I want to. But I can have my own take on it as well.
But excuse me for voicing my opinion. Oh, wait. I'm just complaining again. Sorry.

ReplyDeletewhy even bothering preordering from any of these websites? Do I get anything besides the two free tracks?
ReplyDeleteI like the cover though. I thought my computer was still loading too until I clicked the link to preorder lol
I wonder if the food and liquor 2 pt2 cover art is going to be all white like a yin yang thing
ReplyDeleteJust bought this bad bitch of a cd
ReplyDeleteHow do we know this is the album cover? I have looked around and there is no confirmation from Lu.
ReplyDeleteI'll be honest, I don't care for it if it is real.
".I'm not trying to sound like a Lupe tryhard fan...but this cover is anything but genius. I think sometimes we as fans need to be real and stop dick riding for once and thin"
ReplyDeleteI like the idea tht the cover is all black because the cover of the 3 singles he releases r black with a symbol of the title so the background of the whole thing is black
Maybe it's symbolic of the old FnF Army uniform. Wasn't it plain black t-shirt, camouflage pants, and black boots?
ReplyDeleteI don't know, that's just what came to my mind. Plus you wear black when you're in mourning, so in a sense, maybe the black album cover is for how dark American history is.
