Thank You Lord For Lupe!
ReplyDeletePlease let Jane $$$ be Janelle Monae
ReplyDeleteIt could be. Janelle(Jane) Monae(Money/$$). I hope it is her
DeletePlus janelle monae made a song called cold war That definitely increases the possibility.
DeleteTrue that.
DeleteJAne $$$ is incredibly gifted! Will be a nice surprise!
DeleteI can't wait to buy this album! I am curious about 'Strange Fruition'...I wonder if its a spin on Billie Hoilday's 'Strange Fruit'. That would be ill if Lu was to do that since that song alone is indeed History!
ReplyDelete@Cool Ranch...Lupe said Strange fruition was inspired (something like that) from Billie Holiday's Strange Fruit.
ReplyDeleteNo Matthew Santos =[
no go to sleep???
ReplyDeleteJust realized Go To Sleep isnt on this....maybe part 2 I guess.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of Jason Evigan but from what i just heard on youtube i like. Really excited for this! Sept 25th cant come soon enough
They must've dropped Go to sleep for battle scars or some crazy ass hysterical shit like that
ReplyDeleteThey must've dropped Go to sleep for battle scars or some crazy ass hysterical shit like that
ReplyDeleteNo Mathews Santos :(
ReplyDeleteIm glad go to sleep isnt on it...maybe itll be a bonus track. I love the song but id rather have something new rather than a song thats been out for a while.
ReplyDelete05. Audubon Ballroom
ReplyDeleteCAN'T WAIT!!!
Audubon Ballroom is best known as the site of Malcolm X's assassination....This track is gonna be ridiculous!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLUPE IS THE G.O.A.T.
Lupe, my brother!! :)
ReplyDeleteSalaam :D
Does anyone know if there will be a deluxe version in CD or digital only? Second what is the bonus content? Can anyone tweet @lupefiasco on this. I don't twitter.
ReplyDeleteHey speaking of old songs, what the hell happened to Shining Down? Is he going to put it on an album or is it just forever some random released song? It could do great things if that was a single for the next album.
ReplyDeleteIt was already a bonus on lasers lol
ReplyDeleteWhy is the outro not the last song on the album?
ReplyDeletelmao shining down was bonus track on lasers
ReplyDeleteFood and Liquor II niggas, let's go!
ReplyDeleteDo these niggas just come out of hybernation when an album drops ?
ReplyDelete"Ayesha Says (Intro)"
ReplyDeleteThat's all I needed to see. This album's gonna be a classic!
Cool right?! :-)
Delete...but I thought he wasn't going to have any features.
ReplyDeleteLOL at the Ayesha Says guy... I thought EXACTLY the same thing!! :D
ReplyDeleteI was hoping to never hear Pooh Bear again, why are you doing this to me, Lupe? Looks great overall though. I imagine GTS isn't on and was just "un-officially" added by Lupe. When he says he will add it to the album, I think he is putting it on the fans to just add it to the album on iTunes.
ReplyDeletePoo bear aka MDMA is signed to FNF
DeleteLupes doode
I agree with you wish he had santos on there instead
GTS is on part 2...its a rap song, not a great america song
ReplyDeleteI may sound stupid but who is Ayesha? And maybe Go To Sleep will be a bonus track. Jane $$$ is definitely Janelle Monae. I can't wait for this album. Not sure I like the whole blank album art thing though.
ReplyDeleteAyesha is his sister. She's the one who did the intros for F&L and The Cool.
ReplyDeleteHave to co-sign the above comments. Once I saw Ayesha on the intro my anticipation for this album spiked immediately!
ReplyDelete@7sixes
ReplyDeleteThe album isn't split by theme (ie. part one being about America only, and part 2 being about the rappity-rap songs). Both discs will have some songs about america and some songs of just rapping. It's a mixed bag.
You know you a 'true Lupe fan' when you know the significance of Ayesha's intros!lol
ReplyDeleteOMG Casey Benjamin is Robert Glasper's saxophonist/vocoder singer! If he's on there, hopefully a collaboration between Lu and Rob will be on the next one! Hell it should be Lupe featuring the whole Robert Glasper Experiment!!!
ReplyDeleteOr maybe just an interlude of them talking smack about each other will suffice for now. Put those two in a room and hilarity will ensue!
17 tracks let go!!
ReplyDelete@flyflyaway my guess is that that is the track that was produced by Glasper
ReplyDeleteThe only things this album is missing that the other classic albums had is Santos...
ReplyDeleteWith that said I actually wanted lupe to rap the intro. When he first revealed it liked the way he said it.
If This Is The Regular Tracklist Go To Sleep May Be On The Deluxe Version. Hopefully!

He was on The Cool so shut up
Into is back yes
ReplyDeletereally wishing Santos was on this, but whatever..
ReplyDeleteis a deluxe version confirmed? i keep seeing it mentioned in comments, but I've yet to see it on Amazon, iTunes or the pre-order site
disregard my last comment. i see the deluxe version on the the site now
ReplyDelete"He was on The Cool so shut up"
ReplyDeleteWhen was he ever on 'The Cool'? GemStones was his primary guy on the album.
There really is no defending Poo Bear's place on Lasers though. If he drops the autotune and does what he can do live than I bet it works out fine, but most of his hooks on Lasers were trash.
The other guy was right. He has 2 "personas" "MDMA" was on lasers and "Poo Bear" was on "The Cool". Look it up
DeleteAs soon as i saw Ayesha i just thought of "they thought it was cool to leave you stranded, Katrina" brought back some good memories of the Cool days
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I saw it I thought of F&L intro... "good chicken, good fingerlicken" or how ever she says it. Lol. I just love it. And I'm glad Poo Bear went back to being Poo Bear. MdMa was just wack to me.
ReplyDelete@kungfoolery Pooh Bear was on "Hi-definition" which was on The Cool
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I saw " ayesha says " my day got better .
ReplyDeleteKnow that's going to be some meaningful spoken poetry to set the albums tone
Btw , what ever happened to gem stones aka gemini ? Miss dude
He quit rap to become a preacher
DeleteGemstones is focusing mostly Christian rap, he said that perception of life has changed.
ReplyDeleteWHERE'S BISHOP G
ReplyDeleteI wonder which song Chris and Drop produced? They always produce classics
ReplyDeleteAyesha says... thats all. classic on the way.
ReplyDeleteJane $$$ has definitely got to be. Janelle Monae because she also did a.song called cold war.
ReplyDeleteMDMA is his name when he makes worldly and club like electronic music.
ReplyDeletePoo Bear is his name when he makes R&B, soul and hip-hop like music.

Im kinda nervous.... :/ It was kinda hard to breathe when I saw this... wow I cannot wait
ReplyDeleteI'm soo glad the intro we heard Lupe spit back in Nov. 2010 is on the album. Even more happy Ayesha raps it. Still kinda upset about battle scars but We're blessed we're getting an album at all after Lasers. Thank goodness for what we have
ReplyDeleteBilly Talent, Dead Silence
ReplyDelete&
Lupe Fiasco, TGRA Pt:1
I just can't wait!! :D
I waited about 5 years for a classic lupe album. This better deliver or I'll lose my faith in humanity. I hope sonically more than anything he's a bit more adventurous. Like his collab with UNKLE. That would be hype
