  3. I like his use of imagery and he no doubt has great ideas. I think he has the potential of writing a great novel, but honestly, the man needs to work on his sentance structure a bit. His wording is a bit awkward and confusing at times.

  6. I love that he's a fan of Basquiat. And if you don't know who that is, get your culture game up and go Google that name ASAP.

This is 2013, not 1813. I understand your comment was meant to be a compliment but that came out totally disrespectful. Watch your mouth.

  8. What's the difference between a nigger and a nigga? Why is one ok to say but not the other. Why do black ppl get offended by a white person using the word nigga, yet the blacks use the word nigga in their music and sell the music to white people...

  10. @anonymous niggerguy

That's because it has nothing to do with the word, the letters that compose it or even the pronunciation. It's because often times, white people ( not whites specifically but you asked specifically) use it to call us the lowest example of human trash. That's what I feel white people are saying when they say that word to me aggressively. The same can't be said for a black man saying it because he's not using it in a way that refers to himself or others like him as human garbage.

    1. See what I don't understand is, why black people sell the word i.e: Capitalizing a word that denotes them to the lowest exist thing. Yet get offended when if a white person uses it.

Jay-Z and Kanye have a song that is nominated for a Grammy called 'Niggas in Paris' ( A title that you can agree has good denotation of blacks leaving slavery and becoming very successful, that I absolutely love.) But now say if the presenter of the Grammy is white, Will he be wrong for saying "Niggas"

I love lupe, and I love his hook on 'Audubon Ballroom' but I hear him say nigga in other music. If the message of the hook was applied as a social norm, I would support it. But its not, there is a double standard when using that word, and I don't like it, so to me if you are ok to call yourself a nigga and let other black people call you a nigga, u are a nigga. Just like if you are to call urself a American and let others call you an American, are you not an American?

  13. A lot of people are ignorant. You can't fault him for not knowing. The real tragedy would be not educating this person on this bit of our culture and history.

  20. ^^ I get what you're saying. Even though I'm black, I don't let my friends call me nigga. The only time I'll the term nigga, is if I really mean it in a derogatory form

  21. Things change. Nigga is a cultural term now. If you grow up with the young urban and young urban influenced modern american minorities who tend to live close you'll hear and even say it naturally. This is all obviously because it doesn't mean what you think Nigger means. Jay-Z and Kanye West called it Niggas in Paris cuz that's just how far the CULTURE has come. The way society see's it now is not so much racist but just awkward if you say it when you clearly have nothing to do with these kinds of CULTURES. No racism at all is involved. White races are often never related to these cultures. That is where the offense comes from. It's awkward. Nas himself said he has no problem with Eminem saying nigga. Again, cultural. It's all cultural. A grammy presenter (no matter their race or culture) will never say Nigga cuz that's television. Media everyone sees. That's a completely different story. Believe it or not kids of many races say Nigga in urban schools. In reality, no one is being discriminated or demeaned.

There's the knowledge you seek. As objective as I can make it. Double standards my booty hole.
